Have I really not posted since last week? I guess not. I'll have to make up for that this week, especially since next week we will be on vacation on the Washington coast where there is no Internet access (yes, such a place still exists--there's no cell phone reception either).
I don't really have any over-the-top deals to tell you about this week, just a couple of examples where using coupons turns a good sale in to a great deal (in my book, more than 50% off). At Albertson's, I got some Yogos Fruit Rollers for 66 cents each after combining the sale price with my $1.00 off coupons, for a savings of 81%. At Safeway, I bought some Garnier hairspray for $2.00, after combining the sale price with my $1.00 off coupon, for a savings of 52%. That in particular made a so-so sale price a much better value.
I've found that the best way to save on my weekly grocery bills is to send my teenager and tween-ager to Scout camp for a week! My grocery bill at Safeway was right around $100.
