Here are my grocery deals of the week for yesterday's shopping trip:
Albertson's: One thing I love about Albertson's is that they take competitor's coupons. I frequently use Fred Meyer or Safeway coupons there. This week I used a Safeway coupon for Oscar Mayer hot dogs, 3 packages for $3.00. The coupon did not specify what kind of hot dogs, so I chose the cheese variety which the boys love. In addition to the Safeway coupon, I also had 3 manufacturers coupons for 55 cents off one package, making each package only 45 cents! The original price was 4.79, making my savings a little more than 90%.
Safeway: I got 3 more packs of hot dogs with another Safeway coupon, though the meat manager said the coupon was only good for the regular beef franks. Still, combined with 3 more manufacturers coupons, I got 90% off again!
Hot dogs freeze great and are good quick lunches for my boys in the summertime.
