Quaker Oats Sure Knows How to Say Thank-you!

A while back, I wrote a post about writing to product manufacturers to tell them how much and why you like (or dislike) their product, as a method of getting coupons from them. While I did have quite a bit of success doing this, I haven't done it in a while, as you can't write to the same manufacturers too often. So, imagine my surprise when the doorbell rings and I open the door to find UPS has left a box addressed to me from Quaker Oats.

THIS is what was inside:

TWO boxes of granola bars (12 total bars), TWO boxes of cereal (16 total servings), and NINE $1 coupons! Woo-hoo! There was also a flyer that said "we heard you loved our all natural, multigrain product, and we couldn't be more pleased!...As our way of saying THANKS we are giving you several more Simple Harvest products so you can see for yourself how delicious all natural can be...Also take advantage of the valuable coupons enclosed...we hope you continue spreading the good word about our products." (I think I am doing that right now!)
I checked the spreadsheet that I used to keep track of all the companies I had written to and what I had received, and it looks like I wrote to them in March and received one $1 coupon in return. Hmm...obviously my name stayed in their database.
